NBA

I am so dissappointed that David Lee of the Knicks did not make it to the all star reserve team. C'mon Jameer Nelson, that guy is kind of a bitch. his numbers are nothing spectacular and the other forwards in the East are pretty much weak forwards. Well, there is always next year. Thanks again Isiah for ruining the respect and ingetrity of the New York Knicks.

I D K

Today was just one of those days. I spend too much time reflecting I guess. Work sucked today and the economy is just so bad, more hours were cut from people at my job this week. I know there are so many other horror stories around of people getting laid off but this curb spending is tough: I have to admit it. I can't really believe I used to spend so much money in the past. I am a true male Shopaholic. I must've bought everything except a $10 hooker in the past 7 months. I been spending way too much for real.

*The only good thing I remember reflecting on is the time I spent with a girl that I have been in love with from the second grade. I sure had my fun with this girl the last time I saw her but she was pure poison. She was one of those girls that feel in the this girl is way too pretty category. Way too pretty meaning she has fucked more guys in her life than many people can count.

Learn from dat!!

So I got all sidetracked earlier from myspacing and facebooking but now I am hearing some good songs and stuff on youtube. So this cures boredom.

Did you see this story: iFARE

Natalie Lenhart, you’ve got a friend.

A tourist who had to fork over her iPod to a taxi driver in lieu of payment is getting a brand new one courtesy of singer James Taylor.

Lenhart, a 20-year-old college student from California, had been visiting New York in December. She took a cab to JFK Airport, but when it came time to pay her $49 fare, the credit-card reader in the cab declined her card. Lenhart said officers at the airport made her give her $140 music player to the taxi driver as payment for the ride from Manhattan.

The red iPod nano was loaded with oldies including songs by Taylor. He's penned classics such as “You've Got a Friend'' and “Fire and Rain.”

Taylor read about Lenhart’s loss in the New York Post and was furious, saying only a tourist would have actually complied with such a demand.

A New Yorker “would never have put up with it,” he told the Post.

Taylor decided he would fix what he believed was wrong. He promised to send Lenhart a brand new iPod filled with his songs and a personal letter, according to the New York Post.

The driver has said he'll return her original iPod in exchange for the fare.

The agency responsible for police at the airport said it is investigating.

*This is pretty extreme to me but she was just forced to give her Ipod as payment. The story does also say however she did have an additional IPOD as well but I sure as hell would not want to just give one up like that.

Oye me chico, listen to me Meng!!

I got so hyped up last night I was playing the Scarface game for XBOX and I was so jazzed. I guess I had not seen the movie "Scarface" in such a long time. It was cool to play for a bit then relive so many scenes and lines from the movie. in the game, you can go in this super coke induced beserker rage where you just kill people from a third person point of view and you are invinsible for those few mins and shout pretty nothings as you kill like "You stupid fuck!, I'm Tony Montana." The movie is good but very repetitive but the concept alone is so ingenious. It all revolves around what would've happened if Tony Montana would have survived the famous last scene in the movie.

Anyone have a cool Youtube channel with videos out there

I usually like watch random vids but am curious how many people I know have some video blogs or just youtube page with some cool random videos they made. I have been debating the whole vlog thing but it seems like too much work. I rather just follow people's channels.

Espada ranks

I have been a member of a secret society here in NY since I was about 12 or 13 but can't go into details and it is not bloods or latin kings or anything. I think there are only about 6 active NY members but I am not that active anymore. Style of dress is different and each person wears a distinctive ring or a chain. Members are all over the world: various US cities, India, Venezuela, Poland, China, and England I believe.

So really a strange thing

I couldn't believe hearing about the plane landing in the Hudson the other day, it is a miracle. I am glad no one was injured but truely that was some quick thinking by the pilot. I would've never expected no casualties in this situation. Good job by the pilot

well maybe

man I just love watching movies and saying a short little bit about them most likely online after I see them.

*Narc (2002)- This movie fucking rocked. Wow, what can I say this movie was very good. Narc had such a gritty almost shoestring budget to it that made it very enjoyable. I thought the first scene was completely intense. I remember seeing it in the movies just with a look on my face like "Whoa". That guy really caught it, getting stabbed in the neck with some hardcore drugs. I first thought just "man, that guy is fucked". Go check this movie. You got my complete recommendation.

*My BlueBerry Nights(2007)- This movie was pretty terrible. I didn't think Norah Jones showed any acting ability at all. I was even disappointed in her choice of styles and looks (in the film). I loved her appearance when she first came out on the scene as a singer, I have no idea what went wrong. Natalie Portman was great in a way too short cameo though. Overall, ended up very disappointed that this was even rented.

*Quantum of Solace(2008)- I am just gonna say this is a reluctant 4 star movie. I just wanna give it a 3 but I can't, I mean the action sequences were sick. I think the dialogue was not as good as the previous "Casino Royale" but it was still a fun ride. I find Daniel Craig does make a great Bond but I miss the thread of jokes that were in the Pierce Bronsnan flicks and stuff. I mean sure he is all business in this one but at least crack a joke or two to lighten the mood, lol. This movie does get a "Go see this one in the theater" recommendation from me.

*Hancock(2008)-Oh man, I just finished watching Hancock yesterday actually and boy did I not like it. First off in a superhero or so called movie, how is there not a main villain for Hancock to deal with (those cheap guys from the prison do not count). I think Will Smith overall is a great actor but this story was all over the place. They need a much better story to make this flow alot smoother. Overall, I just didn't enjoy this at all. Maybe a sex scene between Will and Charlize would've pushed it up to 2.5 or a 3

*The Life Before her eyes (2008)- really did not enjoy this movie and it is sad I was looking forward to it. I really did not like it. I love Uma as an actress in general. The whole movie does not make sense: I mean why do we not find out what Diana's best friend is doing now in her life. I mean she should be an important part of the story. This is my biggest question, Why do we see Older Diana end up seeing her husband with a younger version of herself. How about dem apples?

*Grosse Pointe Blank(1997)-This movie was really good. I know I have seen it at least 4 times. I like the whole idea of the movie. I mean it is a bit weird but awfully cool. Minnie Driver looked adorable and John Cusack just fit that character 100%. It might be time for another viewing of this classic. It has been a while. I also loved the interaction between him and Dan Ackroyd so check the movie out.

*Babylon A.D.(2008)- Yeah so this movie was not that bad. I mean I give it two stars but it could easily get 2.5 or 3. I did happen to see this in the movie theater so that may have warranted my discomfort in giving it a 3. The main Character Toorop played by Diesel was interesting in a way, he was your typical mercenary that also had at least some kind of heart to do things his way no matter what. I recommend seeing this is you and definitely a fan of the Diesel and a big sci fi fan.

*Slumdog Millionaire- This is the ultimate feelgood movie. I know maybe people have said that over the years but this movie takes it to another level. I saw this at the Angelika theater not too long after it opened and was very impressed. The two main actors have very impressive debuts on the big screen. I hope this movie is definitely remembered when it is in time for the Oscars. It deserves to win something. So go out and see this movie right now, even if you feel it is not your "cup of tea", you might have a really good time with this one.

hello fellow blog reader

Is it unbelieveably strange to date someone for a really long time and still not hear the words I love you. I am the kind of person that i really just don't like to say it just to say it. I mean I know some people can argue that if it is just dating it could take more than 1 yr or so.

hey

I don't know I have this weird pain in my right wrist. I have no clue, maybe it is from the way I hold my cell phone I just noticed it. The wrist only seems to hurt when I hold it in a sort of reversed thumbs up sign when i hold the cell phone. It is right in the middle of the wrist and it just could be a bone bruise but just not sure. I need to get it checked out I guess. It is weird it is not even hurting now as I try but like I said I guess when I answer the phone with the right hand it bends awkwardly.

Do You

I don't know this is a song that really gets me hyped up. Even when you think you can't do something I listen to this song then I can. If I have to jump through a burning building just to then jump and put an enemy of mine through a flaming barbed wire table: I feel like I can do it after listening to this song by Rob Zombie. I expect to survive too putting the said enemy through the barbed wire table.....

U HAVE ONE?

Oh man, I just had the most fucking fun last week playing Rock Band 2 for PS3. I have really not been into playing the thing. I stayed away for the most part this long then I finally played it again with my cousin. Played the bass and guitar on some tracks like Drain you and In Bloom, I mean I love those tracks no matter what. Some harder tracks were Offspring "Come out and Play". I can't wait to play again. These are just some random Youtube videos not me playing:

Random Flashback

I just had a random moment in time where my movie history knowledge seemed to focus on one year: 1993.
I thought of a ton of movies in the past year but 1993 was entertaining. I mean wow now that I think about it is was some right before I went to Hs shit so that was a while back. Carlito's Way was a great movie back then (great action and a fitting end to the movie). True Romance, now that was one of the fuckin best movies back then. I saw this on dvd and stuff so many times but honestly I forgot it 100% by now, that means I need to check this one again soon (Great action, great shoot em up). Wow, Menace to Society (it is amazing, I didn't realize it was out that long ago). This movie was excellent such a hard griping look at South central LA at that time. Philadelphia (now this was great and clearly not my kind of movie at the time but I was really feeling this one). If you have not seen this to this day, go out and rent it now. THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS (This is another one, that how was this movie released this long ago yet it comes up in conversation so often). I loved this movie but pretty much forgot it 100% I need to see it again. Mrs. Doubtfire (Now this was a funny movie, I did not think RObin Williams would pull it off this well, it was truely funny). A Perfect World (Oh fuck, this was a great movie. I enjoyed every minute of it). Jurassic Park (Now this was cinema fantasy at its best) I really enjoyed it and have seen this one so many times. Hot Shots PART Duex ( I laughed alot, I mean it was really stupid funny)

2009

I cannot believe it is officially 2009 already. I did not completely enjoy 2008 but it could've been worse. I have a few goals I have for 2009 and hope to do a good job on them. I actually ended 2008 on a flurry or movie watching ventures. I actually stayed in with the fam on New Year's Eve up in PA. I watched Role Models and Seven Pounds (in the movies) and a bunch of high quality bootleg movies such as Apaloosa, Pineapple Express, Vicky Christina Barcelona and the Wrestler.
