New York Before Guliani
Subways were disgusting and you stood a good chance of being mugged or accosted. The cars themselves were in various states of disrepair and you were lucky if you could see out the windows. Squeegee-men on many corners would assault you as you waited for the light. 42nd was a sewer with all the porn theaters - as was 9th ave in that area. oh yeah and alot of women got groped big time on the subway in every which way and form. I remember seein this as a youngster.

I kind of miss the old days, dog. I think I'm nostalgic for the simplicity of it all, not the crime that tainted it.
